History Corner: Did You Know?
Stonewall Cemetery contains the remains of a single Union soldier among more than 500 Confederate soldiers. Many were casualties of the Battles of Atlanta and Jonesboro who died after being brought to Griffin's military hospital at the old Synodical College.
